SLIMIVICH
Is the eclectic new project from seasoned Ōtautahi metal vocalist Slim Jenkins and drummer Mo Galloway of Tainted infamy. Owing more to a life long love of downbeat electronic sounds, politically charged Rap and Hardcore Punk, SLIMIVICH doesn’t explode like previous metal releasesfrom these two, it radiates and crackles with all the allure of overloaded high voltage circuits, glowing and arcing in the dark.
Refreshed from a break after 2023’s ‘Grind’NZ tour, along with single ‘Grind’, ‘Desert Shimmer’ and the darker ‘Hysteria’ grabbing new listeners by the throat; fans will not fail to be impressed by this reinterpretation of the same venom spitting Slim they came to know and love, or hate.
HUNTER
Auckland based heavy unit Hunter is a combination of Andy, CJ, Facu, Nathan and Robin coming together to serve a tasty and juicy portion of beatdown and Deathcore. Drawing on influences from favourites Paleface Swiss, Knocked Loose, Alphawolf, Demsfightinwords, Fromjoy and Terror the boys endeavour to see crowds have as much fun as humanly possible.
Seeing gigs as a way to remove yourself from time and space and burdens of day to day life and just live in the moment,Hunter believe the pit to be a place where everyone should just be able to be free. Throwing themselves off, people grabbing the microphone, circle pits and the lot.
Day13n
The Unabashedly weird, Toronto raised, Auckland based, Experimental Emo/Punk Rapper. Aspiring to spread a message of individuality, pride in your uniqueness and radical self love he shares a journey recovery, from dark beginnings to a bright future.
With his debut album ‘\7/13\7/’ and latest EP ‘Entropy’ out for the world to experience, prepare to dive head first into raw vulnerability, in a world where genres and categories no longer exist and authenticity reigns supreme.
Cyanide Altar
The 4-piece doom/sludge metal band hailing from the depths of Tāmaki Makaurau. With an acidic concoction of pure Sabbath worship and weedfuzz, if the bludgeon of riffs akin to a gargantuan mechanical slug won't melt your faces off, then you shall surely be reduced to atoms by the sacred oscillations of the sonic pagan... entombed from time; our amps her vessel.
Look out for the boys debut single "Martian War Machine" out on all streaming platforms 19th Jan 2024.
